Kickstarter Specific Questions

How do I determine my pledge amount?

Will you use a campaign/ order management program?

Yes, we will collect orders on our website like a regular shopping cart checkout process with credits applied from the Kickstarter pledges.

How do I select my rewards?

By choosing items from a special Kickstarter page on this website.

When will I get my dice?

We are estimating a September 2024 fulfillment. With all the customizations available, we will need to process some orders in a more sequential manner.

I need custom dice for an event before the Kickstarter fulfillment date, can you help me out?

We wouldn’t be able to get you any of the KS dice colors much earlier than the expected fulfillment date, since those colors still need to be produced. But if you’d like to choose colors of dice from current stock at our warehouse, depending on the order size, we can easily help you get those custom dice for your event.

What are the dice made of?

Our Diffusion™ dice are made of Resin.

What sizes are the dice?

Our dice average about 30% larger (depending on the shape) by volume than traditional polyhedral dice.

In addition, we use a larger, high visibility font to make sure our dice are as accessible as possible.

What’s an Arch’d4™?

What’s a Balance’d20?

Can I get traditional d4s?

Yes, we carry the traditional d4 in all our in-stock colors, but we are not planning on making traditional d4s in the colors of this Kickstarter.

Do I have to order complete sets?

No, we also offer singles of each shape and color.

Can I order extra single dice to add to my sets?

Yes, you are more then welcome to order extra single dice along with your sets, but they won’t be added into the sets.

What packaging comes with the dice sets?

Due to the very custom nature of the dice being offered, each regular order will be packed into polybags according to the dice colors.
Retailer orders will include plastic display boxes with SKU, UPCs, and descriptions for each set. Bulk polybags for singles.

Customization Details

Which shapes can I have customized?

You can customize the highest face on any of the following polyhedral shapes.

Why not customize the d%? Since there is some question as to whether the 00 or 90 face is highest, and we only customize the highest faces, so we chose to only make these dice with all numbers to avoid any confusion.

We only customized the highest face on the die.

Can I get customized packaging?

Yes. We do offer custom packaging for an additional cost. This typically involves putting your branding or artwork on our plastic dice box inserts, used mostly just for retail store orders.

Why is there a logo setup fee?

We charge a one-time Logo setup fee because we have to calibrate our engraver to your Image. Once that is done, we save that information for future orders.

Do I have to pay a setup fee for each set or color of dice?

No. Your setup fee is a one-time fee per Logo.

I have an idea for a logo, but I’m not a good artist. Can you design the logo or symbol for me?

No worries, we can totally help design a logo/symbol for you. We charge a small design creation fee if we are needed to create the design. We then work with you to come up with your envisioned design.

Can you make dice in specific colors or shapes for me?

Not unless the quantities of each shape/color are in the 100s.
Outside of this kickstarter, we make low volume custom dice from our current stock of dice colors we already carry in our warehouse or by ordering a replenishment with a large enough order.
There are some occasions where you can choose the colors of the dice being produced for your custom dice order, however, that would require a reasonably sized order and we would need to be able to sell the rest of the dice color produced. Feel free to contact us for details: info@customdice.shop.

We also don’t create different styles of dice shapes. Your custom order would be produced from our standard selection of shapes: Arch’d4™, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, pipd6, and XLd20

Can I specify the ink color?

I’m sorry, not for this kickstarter. We must stick with the ink colors shown in the photos of the prototypes.

Do you have large quantity discounts?

Yes.

Standard wholesale pricing will apply for non-custom dice orders $400 or more.

If ordering custom dice of several hundred pieces per shape/color, please contact us for a custom quote.

Miscellaneous Questions

How will shipping be determined and collected?

Our shopping cart will calculate your shipping costs separately after the KS has completed and you select your rewards by adding them to your shopping cart. Your rewards ordering will be handled like a regular online shopping cart.

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship everywhere worldwide.

Will international shipments incur duties?

Possibly, but those are billed to you separately from the carrier if needed.
